LOCAL MISSIONS
Reach Rockwall
With the Gospel
Missions begins where God has placed us. Our neighbors, friends, coworkers, families, and community all need the good news of Jesus Christ.
THE FIELD AROUND US
The Mission Field Starts at Home
We do not need to travel far to find people who need Christ.
Rockwall and the surrounding communities are filled with people who may never enter a church unless someone personally reaches out, invites them, serves them, or shares the Gospel with them.
Local missions means living with our eyes open to the people God has already placed around us.

HOW WE REACH LOCALLY
Simple Ways to Carry the Gospel Into Our Community
Local missions is not complicated. It is faithful Christians intentionally reaching people around them.
Witness Personally
Share the Gospel one-on-one with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and others.
Invite People
Invite others to church services, special meetings, Bible studies, and Gospel events.
Serve the Community
Look for practical ways to help people and build bridges for Gospel conversations.
Pray for the Lost
Pray by name for people in our community who need to trust Jesus Christ.
PERSONAL EVANGELISM
The Gospel Moves Person to Person
Some of the most important mission work happens in ordinary conversations.
A neighbor asks a question. A coworker shares a burden. A family member becomes open to talking about eternity. These are moments when a believer can lovingly speak about Christ.
You do not need to know every answer. Know the Gospel, know a few clear Scriptures, and be willing to tell someone how Jesus Christ saves.

“Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Luke 14:23 — KJV
WHO IS OUR NEIGHBOR?
The People God Has Already Put Around Us
Families
Parents and children who need biblical truth, encouragement, and the Gospel.
Neighbors
People living only a few doors away who may never have heard a clear Gospel presentation.
Coworkers
People we see regularly who can observe a faithful Christian testimony.
Newcomers to Rockwall
New residents and growing families who may be looking for community, truth, and a church home.
VISITATION & OUTREACH
Go Where the People Are
The church should not wait for every lost person to walk through the front door.
Local outreach may include neighborhood visitation, follow-up with guests, personal invitations, community contacts, Gospel literature, special outreach events, and practical ministry to people in need.
The methods may vary, but the purpose remains the same: create opportunities for people to hear and respond to the Gospel.
LOCAL OUTREACH
Go. Invite. Follow Up.
Faithful local missions means intentionally moving toward people, not simply hoping they find us.
SERVE THE COMMUNITY
Meet Needs Without Losing the Message
Practical service can open doors for Gospel relationships.
Helping a family, encouraging a senior adult, assisting during hardship, supporting community needs, or simply showing kindness can demonstrate genuine Christian love.
But service alone is not the Gospel. Our desire is to meet real needs while remaining ready to explain the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
Good works should point people toward the Saviour, not replace the message of salvation.
PRAY FOR ROCKWALL
Local Missions Begins on Our Knees
Before we speak to people about God, we should speak to God about people.
Pray for Souls
Ask God to save people throughout our community.
Pray for Open Doors
Ask God to create opportunities for Gospel conversations.
Pray for Boldness
Ask God to help believers speak clearly and lovingly.
Pray for Fruit
Ask God to use His Word to bring conviction and salvation.
EVERY MEMBER A WITNESS
Local Missions Is Not Only a Church Event
Outreach should become part of the normal Christian life.
Every believer has relationships and opportunities that no church program can reproduce.
You know people. You work with people. You live near people. You already have a mission field.
The goal is not that every member does the same activity. The goal is that every member becomes Gospel-minded.
