MISSIONS
Local. National.
World.
The Gospel is for everyone, everywhere. Rockwall Baptist Church is committed to reaching people in our own community, across our nation, and around the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
The Mission of the Church Has Not Changed
Jesus Christ commanded His church to go, preach the Gospel, make disciples, baptize believers, and teach them to observe His Word.
Missions is not a side program. It is part of the central work Christ gave His church. We begin where God has placed us, but we do not stop there.
Our desire is to be faithful in Rockwall, involved in Gospel work across America, and supportive of missionaries carrying the Gospel to people around the world.
GO YE
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15 — KJV
OUR MISSION FIELDS
Three Fields. One Gospel.
The message never changes. The field simply gets wider.
LOCAL
Rockwall & Our Community
Missions begins at home. We want to reach people in Rockwall and the surrounding area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Local outreach includes personal witnessing, inviting others to church, helping families, serving our community, and creating opportunities for people to hear the Gospel.
NATIONAL
Reaching Across America
Our responsibility extends beyond our city. Churches, church planters, missionaries, and Gospel ministries across our nation need prayer and support.
National missions can include church planting, evangelistic efforts, support for missionaries serving within the United States, and helping strengthen Gospel-preaching churches.
WORLD
Carrying the Gospel to the Nations
Jesus Christ commanded His church to look beyond national borders and carry the Gospel to every nation.
We support and pray for missionaries who leave home, learn cultures and languages, plant churches, teach Scripture, and preach Christ around the world.
LOCAL MISSIONS
Start Where God Has Placed Us
We do not need to cross an ocean before we begin sharing Christ.
There are people all around us who need the Gospel: family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, children, students, and families throughout Rockwall.
Local missions means living with Gospel awareness every day and looking for opportunities to speak, serve, invite, pray, and witness.
A missions-minded church should care deeply about the spiritual needs of the community just outside its doors.
FROM HERE TO THE UTTERMOST
“...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 — KJV
NATIONAL MISSIONS
Reaching Cities, Towns, and Communities Across America
Our nation remains a mission field.
Communities grow and change. New neighborhoods are built. Churches close. Entire regions may have little access to clear Bible preaching and Gospel witness.
National missions gives the local church an opportunity to encourage church planters, support missionaries, pray for Gospel work, and help strengthen churches of like faith.
We want to think beyond our own congregation and care about Gospel work throughout our nation.
WORLD MISSIONS
Every Nation Needs the Gospel
Billions of people live outside our borders, and many have little opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
World missions requires faithful missionaries, sending churches, prayer, financial support, sacrifice, and a long-term commitment to Gospel work.
We want to stand behind missionaries who faithfully preach Christ, teach the Word of God, disciple believers, and establish local churches.
The goal is not simply humanitarian assistance. The ultimate goal is that people hear the Gospel, trust Christ, grow as disciples, and become part of biblical local churches.
HOW WE PARTICIPATE
Pray. Give. Go. Send.
Every believer can have a part in missions.
Pray
Pray for missionaries, open doors, protection, boldness, provision, and souls to be saved.
Give
Support Gospel work financially so missionaries can go and remain on the field.
Go
Be willing to witness locally, participate in outreach, and go wherever God may lead.
Send
Encourage, support, and stand behind those God calls to missionary service.
OUR MISSIONARIES
More Than Names on a List
Missionaries should be known, prayed for, encouraged, and remembered.
We want the church family to know who our missionaries are, where they serve, what their needs are, and how God is working through their ministries.
Mission letters, updates, missionary visits, special missions meetings, and regular prayer help keep missions personal.
Supporting missions means building real partnerships in the work of the Gospel.
MISSION PARTNERS
Pray for Them by Name
Use this section for missionary profiles, prayer cards, current fields, and recent updates from supported missionaries.
MISSIONS GIVING
Giving Helps Send the Gospel
Those who go need churches that will stand behind them.
Missions giving helps missionaries travel, live on the field, learn languages, print materials, plant churches, train believers, and continue Gospel ministry.
We encourage believers to give willingly, prayerfully, and cheerfully as part of their participation in the Great Commission.

Be Willing to Go
Missions is not only about supporting someone else. God may call members of our own church to go.
Every believer should be willing to ask, “Lord, what would you have me to do?”
For some, that means faithful witness at home. For others, it may mean church planting, missionary service, or giving years of life to reach another people.
The important thing is a surrendered heart that is willing to obey wherever God leads.
